Easy (and Cheap) Plate Hangers

I don't know about you, but I'm impatient. and lazy. and cheap.  I got this plate at World Market a few years ago and being impatient I wanted to hang it up right away.  Being lazy I didn't want to go to the store again.  Being cheap, I didn't want to go buy a plate hanger.  This plate is kind of a weird size too, so it would've been more difficult to find a hanger that worked for it.  I decided to make my own.  I love my hot glue gun and I always have some stray jewelry I figured it couldn't hurt to try it.  Here's the back of the plate.

I tried this afterwards on a round plate and had curlicues of the wire showing on the front of the plate.  It worked well, but when the plate didn't work for my decor anymore, it came down and the hot glue came off without a trace.  I wouldn't try this on a family heirloom or a treasured plate, but for a reproduction, this works great!
Don't burn your fingers on the glue gun.  (I always do!)
