I had a Twitter friend recently offer to send me a book that she had won after she finished reading it, because I mentioned wanting to read it too. A small gesture, but this friend was dealing with some issues this week that happened through no fault of her own. I think that's one of my favorite things about the internet and more specifically, Twitter. Yes, sometimes people aren't nice on the internet (or in real life). But, in general, I think the overwhelming majority of people - at least the people I have "met" online - have been amazingly generous!
I have a theory that the same thing that makes it easier to be mean on the internet (the courage that hiding behind your computer screen can provide) also makes it easier to make friends. I personally would be much too shy to walk up to someone I didn't know and comment on their outfit or mention that I had read and loved the book they were holding. But, I have no problem commenting about the new look at a blog I love to read or telling said Twitter friend that I'd love to hear how she likes the book she just won. Anyway, I just thought I'd weigh in on the whole to tweet or not to tweet debate. Also, if you're nice too, follow me on Twitter - @crafteegirl. If you're not a creepy spammer, I'll follow you back.
PS- My techie husband suggested I refer to Twitter's technology by it's framework "Ruby on Rails." He explained to me afterwards what it meant, but he's smarter than me...Love you babe!
Below is a list of links to some of our favorite blog reads. These ladies have inspired us so much in our own blogging endeavors. Thank You!
