Lucky Linky December 7

BWS tips button

Welcome to the first week of December 2010!  Have you received any holiday cards yet?  We've gotten 3 or 4 already (as mine are still sitting waiting to be mailed on my counter..).  I usually have a wall hanging cloth thingy with pockets that my cards go in.  Last week one of our partiers, Megan from
The Brassy Apple linked a tutorial to her greeting card display holder made with burner covers.  I thought this was great!

Lucky Linky Tuesday November 30: Salt Dough Ornaments from Ador

Salt dough ornament from Melissa at Ador.
Welcome to Lucky Linky!  I hope everyone had a safe and fun Thanksgiving weekend.  I was able to visit my hometown of Shelby Twp., MI and see my family while my husband and brother-in-law drove down to State College to see Michigan State *beat* Penn State.  Yay Sparty's!!!!

I can't wait for this week's edition of LLT!  Holiday time is my favorite time for crafts.  Last week Melissa from Ador shared her instructions for making salt dough ornaments.  These  remind me of childhood and my mom.  Melissa has more to share at her blog, ADOR

What do you have to share today?  I ask that you link to a post, not your home page.  Your post needs to be something you created, cooked, invented (cool!), painted, fixed up, decorated...anything you put your creative mind to work on.   Please share as many posts as you want and visit others who have also posted here.  Thank you and have a wonderful week!

Lucky Linky...almost Wednesday??!

BWS tips button

Welcome to Thanksgiving week...surprise, surprise..my husband decided to take the week off.    This is the first chance I've had to get to a computer today because we've been getting things done around the house that have needed to be done for a while.  I don't think my husband realizes how much I'm normally on the computer during the day( lol )!

Last week the post that stood out most was from Rusty Rooster Vintage.  I really liked her Santa book wreath and photographs of her booth at a recent show....gorgeous and inspiring!

Well, if you're here to link up, welcome, and excuse my tardiness.  I can't wait to see what you've been working on!

Lucky Linky Tuesday November 16

Picture from Leanne at Organize and Decorate Everything

BWS tips button

Welcome to another week of November Lucky Linky.  Last week I saw a lot of turkeys, a few Christmas ideas starting to pop up, and a lot of just generally CUTE ideas.  (love CUTE!).

One of my favorite ideas was this old window used to hold photos.  Check out Leanne from
Organize and Decorate Everything for her super easy instructions.  I love how the photos all have muted tones and the white border.  Super charming Leanne!!

I want to see what you've been up to!  Please link a recent creative post from your blog...or two or three.  I look through and choose my favorite..or at least do my best...sometimes I have a sick child or am out of town or something...but I do my absolute best.  It's all meant to be fun and inspiring, which is what I hope you all feel about blogging and visiting me here.
I hope you have a very creative and inspired day, friends!

LLT November 2

BWS tips button

Happy Election Day!  Last week was full of great ideas..thanks to everyone who participated.

This week I chose to feature this lovely wintery rosy wreath made from discarded wool sweaters and dollar store snowflakes created by Ellen.  Besides her creative projects,  Ellen also has some inspiring creative quotes listed on her blog, Creative Passage.     I noticed she lives in a town I spent some time in my first year of school when I went to Stephens College.  One thing I remember about the school is the ENORMOUS room full of antique and vintage couture clothing.  I would love to back and see it again sometime.
Okay we have an update!  This wreath was chosen as a Top 10  Iron Crafters: Secret Ingredient Sweaters   at Fireflies and Jelly Beans.  Please go vote for Ellen's wintery rosy wreath!

What have you been crafting this week?  Please link your creative posts below.  The linky stays open until Sunday so even if you don't have something ready now, you can always come back when you finish.  Have a wonderful week!

Gingerbread and Pumpkin Trifle: Featuring Crafts & Sutch

When I saw this today I couldn't resist sharing it with you immediately!  Erin at Crafts & Sutch tells you how she made a Paula Deen recipe with a Sandra Lee-like mind set.  I love it!

I'm still going through posts from this week...so many great ideas.  Thanks for joining the party and if you haven't yet, be sure to stop by!

LLT October 26

BWS tips button

Hello!  I'm definitely having a repeat of last week because now I have the other child home from school sick.  These are the days I am so thankful I stay home because when I worked outside the home this would have been a huge issue (my old job wasn't the type you could just get up and leave. )  My husband can't really do that either (unless it's for golf..lol).
Last week was a fun week to look through posts and I indulged a lot of time seeing all of your eye candy.  I loved these felt flowers from Lolly Jane.

There are so many ways to use these...especially for the upcoming holiday season!

Please link your creative posts here.  We just ask it be a link to a specific post, not your main page.  We also like it to be something you personally created, cooked, baked, painted, fixed up, revamped, or rescued from the trash and made into something useful.  Have a great week!

Welcome to the second week of October Lucky Linky.  I loved looking through last week's posts.  My favorite was a recipe from Jaime at The Baeza Blog

She shows us how to make Halloween cookie bark.  It looks delicious and so festive.   I'm going to make it today if I get all of my work finished...my kids and husband will love it.
Please link your creative posts below.  If you can visit 2-3 of the other links and leave comments, I'm sure it would really make their day!

Lucky Linky August 17

BWS tips button

Hello Everyone! Today is a gorgeous summer day here in Mid Michigan. It would be a great day for a golf outing. (I am jealous my husband is actually playing in one). I played last Friday and had a birdie and parred two holes so now I want to play again. Once you get into golf it does get a little addicting.

Okay time to stop talking about golf and get onto the crafts! I love the time of year approaching because it's not so hot and it's not so cold so I can get out in the garage and do some spray painting. My 7 year old son asked me why I haven't been spray painting anything in awhile. It's been way too hot..that's why! Even though summer is coming to an end, I have to look on the positive side and fall does have many. Spray painting stuff in the garage, tailgating for MSU football, and watching early morning soccer games where my grande coffeee beverage never tastes so good.

What have you been up to this week? What are some of your favorite things about fall? Please feel free to link any of your projects and creations below. We look forward to seeing them!

Lucky Linky Tuesday

Lucky Linky Tuesday @ Lucky Star Lane

I almost can't believe it's Tuesday already. But, at the same time I already wish it was Friday. So sad to be rushing life away, I know. Just the weekdays though, I promise! The weekend goes too quickly...

I always look forward to Tuesdays though because you folks are so creative and inspiring! I loved checking out all of the links, but I was especially pleased to find these:

http://www.thecheapandchoosy.com/2010/07/bumgenius-snap-conversion-kamsnaps-25.html

I have some of these and I hate velcro dipes, so I added this to my to do list!

I never need a reason to love chocolate and brownies are my favorite!  These look delicious!

I love these!  I have some magnetic nametags, so I need to do this!

I still really want to paint my cabinets!
Or, better yet, have a magical kitchen reno fairy come and paint my kitchen cabinets.
A girl can dream, right?

I wish I could highlight you all, because you ladies do some amazing stuff! My mom was telling me last week that she thought she was creative until she started reading blogs. With all the crafty and talented people out there, it's easy to feel that way...But, we all have our own unique perspective and can all inspire each other! So, a HUMONGOUS (that's Holden's favorite word right now) thank you to all of you for coming by and inspiring me (and lots of other people who come by too)!  I am incredibly indebted to you all!

PS- Blogger was VERY finicky today and I'm annoyed.  I've read things about other people having problems with it, but hadn't experienced much of it myself until today.  Bad Blogger, bad!  If it shows up weird, that's why!

PPS- Erin's new nephew is likely to be born today...YEAH new babies!

Impatiently Praying for Patience: A Feature!

A cupboard revamp at Impatiently Praying for Patience

Today we would like to feature Katie from Impatiently Praying for Patience (that blog name is awesome by the way). I've seen a few of Katie's projects around blogland before, but yesterday I took the time to read through some of her stories that accompany her creativity.
She really had me laughing and crying at the same time!

Blogland has opened my eyes to a lot of different things. When I need to feel motivated or inspired, I come to see you all. When I need to laugh or take a break, I can find a friend here. I know we all have wonderful friends and family that we actually see and live with daily, but blog friends are different. We're real but we're also generally anonymous, and most everyone is here to support eachother. Thanks, Katie, for sharing and being a fantastic blogging friend!

This was an added bonus I found on her blog.

My husband has been describing this wall treatment to do above our mantel for a couple years, and I couldn't envision it. ...now I can. It looks awesome!

Thanks again for sharing your creativity and stories with us. I hope you'll visit Katie at Impatiently Praying for Patience and tell her we sent you!

Lucky Linky Feature

There were SO many awesome links this week.  We love and appreciate everyone who links and inspires us!  This week, there were so many we had a hard time getting to everyone to comment!  You are all just amazing!  However, be it the time of year or just our frame of mind, we loved the Minnie Party At Second Street.  It's so fun!!  Check her out & tell her we sent you.

Lucky Linky Feature of the Week

Family Sign Re-Use Project at Dittle Dattle

This week we used a new kind of link party from McLinky where a thumbnail picture is shown with your post. Our feedback on this is: We absolutely loved seeing all your pictures on our blog! How lucky are we to have all these great projects for immediate viewing all in one place? What did you think?

Once again, Heather and I had a difficult time choosing our favorite and we came together with our top 5, our lists were different. We both had Carrie from Dittle Dattle on our list, so she is our Lucky Link of the week! Congratulations!

Carrie had a few recent posts at the link party, and I loved them all. The above pictures and links are all from her blog.

Thanks again to everyone who participated. Your projects provide so much joy to others when they look at them and get inspired!

Lucky Feature(s) of the Week

Felt Flower Wreath at 3 Four and Under

This week was a TRULY fantastic week at the Lucky Linky Party! Thanks to everyone who joined. I really could not choose just one post. Heather had a rough week personally involving a death in her family so I was on my own to choose. I am so not a good decision maker! I do love great tutorials so the posts I included have wonderful detailed instructions. I hope you enjoy looking at them but if you have time, you should definitely check out all the links!

I wish you and your family a Happy Easter. We are going to mass today and excited for my older son to be old enough to have a better understanding of what today is about in the Christian faith.

Enjoy!

Lucky Linky Feature of the Week

These eggs pretty much amaze me. I can't believe they were made using a power tool. Ashlee at Corner Crafts gives a great tutorial for making them. Please check her out!

Thanks to everyone who added a link. I tried to leave a comment for everyone..and pretty sure I did but I looked at all of them at least twice. There were some really cool ideas this week. Everyone has really motivated me to get creative. Thanks and looking forward to next week!

Lucky Linky Feature of the Week

This week ONCE AGAIN Heather and I had a unanimous decision on our favorite link at the Lucky Linky party. Shelley at House of Smith's created this beautiful SPRING sign. The "good" green as Shelley calls it and the bright pink together are just divine! (Divine Design is my favorite show on HGTV by the way). You can visit her post Spring Fever for instructions to make this.

Heather and I just loved how this table in Shelley's entryway looks. It definitely feels like spring!

You can visit Shelley at her blog House of Smith's for much more design inspiration.

Thanks for all the great projects you linked up. We had a great time at the party and hope to see you next week!
