I've been thinking about making a moss covered bunny for days. When I saw the contest at Living With Lindsay for making a dollar store spring decoration for $5, I knew this would be my project.

The supplies I bought were:
one package of gold/ivory tissue paper ($1)
two packages of moss (I only ended up using part of one) ($1)
one piece of poster board (if they have brown it will save you time) ($.50)
one package of raffia ($1)
You will also need a hole punch, spray adhesive, hot glue gun and two glue sticks, craft paint, and a small amount of wire or twine.
I cut it out and traced another one going the opposite way.

I mixed up some acrylic craft paint to get a muddy color to paint the bunnies, that way the white won't show through your moss.
I also cut out an egg shape from the poster board at this point but I forgot to take a picture of that. I just drew an egg the size I wanted.

After I cut out the egg, I started cutting out strips from the tissue paper about 3 inches wide and the length of the paper.

To make the roses, just start loosely rolling the paper into a flower shape. I folded the strip in half so the top edge is folded.

I cut off the bottom and used hot glue to adhere it to the egg.
It will take you a while to make all these flowers, but it's so pretty when you're done!
I did about half of the egg and then my bunnies were dry so I took them outside and sprayed them with permanent spray adhesive.
I spread moss over them and patted it down.
I had to press the moss into the adhesive and then trim around the edges. I tied a bow around his neck with the raffia. Then I did the same thing with the other bunny.
Now I am back to my egg. I punched a hole in either side of the egg and in the bunnies' foot. I used a small piece of wire and wired them together on each side.

Next I finished the rest of the flowers and glued them to the egg. I punched a hole in each tail and hung with some twine I had laying around.

Now I have my moss bunnies, and I've tried making something like Shelley's from
I drew a bunny on the poster board from looking at an image of a bunny jumping online. I changed it a little to my liking.
